John McGowean On Long lake, The North Woods, Wisconsin
This is a photograph of my friend John. He is actually going into the lake to retrieve his fishing lure that got caught in this fallen tree. This is totally John, fit and agile. The original photograph was digitally rendered into an oil painting.

The Bridge At Boyd's Resort, The North Woods, Wisconsin
This is a photograph of the old bridge that spans the rode that leads to the boat launch and marina. It's the beginning of autumn with colors changing. The solitude of the picture is also indicative that people are now spending more time indoors. The original photograph was digitally rendered into a watercolor.

Long lake, The North Woods, Wisconsin No.2
This is a close up from another angle of the photograph below. What I like about this photograph is that it really shows the contrast of the trees that are putting on their fall colors. The original photograph was digitally rendered into a watercolor.

Long lake, The North Woods, Wisconsin No.1
Every year us guys go up to the North Woods on our annual fishing trip in the fall. We stay at a quaint little resort called Boyd's. I call this part of the world, 'God's Country' because it's so beautiful especially in the fall. This is a photograph of a small cabin on long lake showing the start of the fall color change. The original photograph was digitally rendered into a watercolor.

Sitges, Spain No.3
One of my favorite renditions of Sitges. This photograph really gives you an idea of the night life in this small resort town. All the cars packed in front of the restaurants on the beachfront. this photgraph was rendered into a watercolor.

Sitges. Spain No.2
This is a photograph of the beach at Sitges taken from the hotel where I stayed. It was digitally rendered into a watercolor.

The Swans At Ethans Glen #2
A wider angle perspective of the swans. Read the caption on the picture below.

The Swans At Ethans Glen #1
This photograph was taken from my deck where I live. A few years ago we were lucky enough to have two beautiful swans make our pond their home. From that year they have returned every year to Ethans Glen, gracing us with their beauty and raising a clutch of little ones. The original photo was digitally rendered into this watercolor.

Perspective No. 2 - East Dundee Illinois
East Dundee reminds me of a town that dates from the late 1800's. What I like about this photograph is the contrast of the modern cars with the historic architecture. The original photograph was digitally rendered into an oil painting.

Perspective No. 1 - East Dundee Illinois
This perspective reminds me of a town from the old west. Actually it's a photograph of the Anvil Club, stark and barren on the outside since the day it was built. The original photograph was digitally rendered into an oil painting.

Winter Scene - East Dundee Illinois
This is one of my favorite renditions. With the colors being so muted because it was winter made the Christmas lights really stand out. Originally a photograph of the old train station digitally rendered into a watercolor.
